Always Was, Always Will be

The theme of NAIDOC week this year recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65 000 years.

NAIDOC week is a time where we share and celebrate the histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is important that we continue to educate ourselves and the generations to come to embrace the true history of this country.

Our teachers will be facilitating learning experiences across the week for all students of Footscray Primary School and the classes have been contributing to an art installation that will be displayed on the Geelong Rd fence.

We each have a role to play in sharing the true history of this country and learning can start from any place. If you would like to further your own understanding, you can visit the NAIDOC week website here
